With the passable rainfall and meek temperature we ’ve experienced this summertime , it has been a neat year for the garden . I ’ve been away at a garden conference , so I just want to take this week to portion out with you some of my favored images from the garden so far . Tell me , what are you most majestic of in your garden this year ?
I ’ve savor growing this beautiful red banana tree in a patio good deal for the preceding three years . I love the red foliage with the chartreuse of the coleus .
Some of my favorite , colorful ceramic planter are filled with endearing foliage plant . I save my elephant ear medulla oblongata every yr and replant them in the passel .

The recurrent borderline around my vegetable garden fence has done just wonderfully this season . All the little native bees are thrilled with the addition of mess mint I made to the garden last twelvemonth .
This marvellous Rudbeckia has gobbled up the statue my husband cave in me as a natal day gift a few years back . Still , I think it ’s my favored garden vignette this season .
My vegetable garden has been exceedingly productive this year — I’ve already made three sight of mess ! I can just take the air through the leafage because it is so lush !

I hope my artichoke plant life will survive the winter . I ’ll have to baby it , but if it makes it , it will be soooo worth the extra effort !
Nasturtiums beautify the top of rock and roll wall at the front of my house . I love the red perennial hibiscus with the Helianthus , too !
The perennial bed on my private road is fill with heat- and drouth - tolerant flora , including this Verbena bonariensis .

The container by our front steps is always filled with shade - loving flora , let in liquorice plant , dragonwing begonias and an upright fuchsia .
Our butterfly garden has been gung - ho this twelvemonth . It let in works like red monarda , phlox , butterfly bush and coneflowers .
