Bloomfest in my garden for Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day!

After more rain in late calendar week than in the first four month of 2011 , my east Austin , Texas garden joyously observe Garden Bloggers ’ Bloom Day !   Daylilies keep coming , twenty-four hours after day .

‘ Patrick ’ abutilon ’s minuscule lantern light up part umbrageous slur near the house on this graceful evergreen bush .

Mexican blanket ( Gaillardia pulchella ) is one of my favorite one-year native wildflower .

Yellow daylily

PerennialCoreopsis lanceolatais another love that favors me with leaf all year .

Oh , but I ca n’t be pick favourite yet , because there ’s stone rose ( Pavonia lasiopetala ) , a shrubby perennial that blooms for month !

And groundcover winecup ( Callirhoe involucrata ) that sprawls underneath them and everywhere !

Tawny daylily

Shrubby graphite ( Plumbago auriculata ) sprawls a little too , but much taller , cooling us off all summer .

Native graphite ( Plumbago scandens ) is less aggressive but just as eager to perform , even in billet that get shade a pile of the Clarence Day .

Lemon yellow rosemallow ( Hibiscus calyphyllus ) is a dreamy plant in shade . It barely wants a speck of sunshine .

Nearby , shrimp plant ( Justicia brandegeana ) has n’t stopped blooming since we had such a soft winter . I did cut them back to shape , but they jumped right back in !

White oxalis is still out to get together heat lover Turk ’s chapiter that ’s already fertilize butterflies and hummingbirds again this class . The bees go for the wood sorrel .

Towering over us are fowl - seeded sunflowers , some 8′ tall !   In a few week , the birds will have picked them sportsmanlike .

nigher to the flat coat is sweet small rain lilyHabranthus robustus .

Although my coneflowers are going absolutely nuts , they do n’t equate to this view at   theLady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center .

And all around townsfolk , check out these dark - eyed Susans ( Rudbeckia hirta ) .

Coreopsis lanceolata

That ’s only a sample distribution of what ’s go away on in my eastern United States Austin garden .   Now   it ’s time to thank dear Carol atMay Dreams Gardenfor showcasing gardeners from around the world on Garden Bloggers ’ Bloom Day ! Linda
