Buffalo Garden Walk 2009

Buffalo provided a warm welcome and a gratuitous inspirational show of 341 house gardens throughout its community last weekend . I was among thousands of appreciative garden - goers hoofing up , down , and all around the city . Well , I was a niggling luckier than most since I had an exclusive tour of duty of all the must - see gardens in Buffalo , include a few not on the official map . ( Thank you to Elizabeth and Jim for their generous cordial reception ! )

I enjoy witness the street awake with activity . Kids selling lemonade , homeowner proudly perch on their porches smiling and waving to the eager public parading through their one thousand and streets . I mean sing about a garden party ! The torrential downpour on Saturday good afternoon did not deaden the hard liquor of this biotic community . come from California , I was amazed at how these consecrate gardeners braved the weather condition and were only concerned with how their blooms and branches fared after the violent storm .

My weekend of touring gardens and talk to similar - minded garden geek about their charge , concern , and questions was quite an educational activity .
