Three-quarters of an acre of garden paradise

Today we ’re visiting with Chuck Flower .

I wanted to divvy up pictures of my garden , which I refer to as Highland Manor . I survive on 3/4 of an Akko just outside of Coatesville , Pennsylvania , and have been garden here for over 11 years . I have a total of 10 water features , a garden elbow room , and a large vegetable garden in accession to the various garden room .

This garden is packed with plant and features . In this film , magniloquent sens and other perennial largely sieve out view of the balance of the garden , only hinting at the other station to search .

Native perennial organize the backbone here , with emphasis from more alien plant in containers , like the huge banana(Enseteventricosum , Zones 10–11 ) with bold , red - tinted foliage .

A gazebo invites you to walk across the grass , sit down , and enjoy the garden .

Here is one of the TEN water features in the garden , a naturalistic dribble of water between Edward Durell Stone .

Here the gazebo take out the eye through the cloud of flowering perennials in front of it .

I enjoy with child garden seating . Who desire to join me here for a morning cupful of chocolate or tea and look out at the garden ?

Chuck made this literal garden room out of an old shed . The ceiling is covered with antique window shutters , and a wood - burning open fireplace entail that this can be a relaxing space even in the wintertime .
