Today ’s photos are from Deidre Gilchrest . She says,“I live in upstate New York where the summers are hot and humid and the winter are forever farseeing . These are some photos of my garden .
“ This spring / summer I ’m making big changes for the better in my gardens , and I ca n’t await for warm , dry weather . Where I live the filth is Henry Clay so much piece of work goes into keeping it plant - desirable . We compost continually and just like clockwork every spring the flooding wash away all the good oeuvre we did the season before so we set forth the process all over again .
“ I have such a passion for horticulture and have learned much through trial and mistake and have learned patience . The greatest compliment I have incur was from a neighbour who asked to descend through the gate to see my garden and her friend said , ‘ appear at all the birds . ’ And my neighbor say , ‘ Well if I was a wench this is where I ’d require to be . ’ Made my day !

“ ordinarily in the warm months you could always find me in my gardens from sunup till sunset . In my garden you ’ll notice yucca , mock orange tree , marsh marrigolds , hydrangea of all types , rose , clematis , and Banksia integrifolia , to name a few . There is something for everyone , and then some . Enjoy the view . ”
