Buy or Make
Thesefloating containersare available in shops or you could make your own . There are several styles and size of it here on Amazon if you want to get ideas . I tried making them several unlike way and finally prefer for the dewy-eyed way because it worked so nicely in my pool .
Note of CautionMany plants have some tier of perniciousness if consumed by humans or animals including Pisces . Before adding any industrial plant to your pool , be indisputable they will not be harmful to your pond Pisces the Fishes .

Materials
This is what you need to makeonefloating pond planter .
Tools
1Make Ring
Make a floating ring with the pool attic , conducting wire , and waterproof tape .

2Wrap Ring
Wrap the noodle doughnut in landscape cloth .
3Insert Pot
Insert the black , plastic pot , skid the covered ringing up , just below the lip of the pot , and turn the whole thing over .

4Tuck Fabric
insert the cloth in nice and tight , all around the pot .
break at this step if you want a fancy hat rather . 🙂
5Add Stones
introduce a small bag of stones to count down the bottom of the locoweed .

6Add Flowers
Add potted flowers , garden art , lanterns , candles , or whatever you like .
As mention , you want to be aware of plants that could be toxic to pond fish , not just from these container but anything growing in your garden that could blow into the pond .
Also , the inserted flower pot can be domiciliate in a chummy plastic bag if you ’re using plants that do not care their roots forever wet . Many annuals , though , are fine with this .

If your pond is really large , you’re able to attach a leash to the float planter to make it easier to tear it back to shore . For minor ponds like mine , a bamboo reefer works fine .
In the one pictured below , I added a Charles Edward Berry wreath , pickle mantrap , and a votive candle .
