SixOnSaturday
January is well under way , and with it the annual urge is upon me . No , not scabies , this itch is entirely horticultural – the sowing itch ! I have been unable to resist , some seeds have been sown , provide some nettlesome relief . Anyhow , time to front at what ’s go on in the garden with Six on Saturday . Six affair , in the garden , on a Saturday . Could be anything – a flower , a plan , a favourite peter , a bud , a job completed , anything at all . link up in !
Here are my Six for this workweek .

1 – Rose bud breaks – I have added importantly to my rosaceous collection in the last six months or so . Where antecedently there was just one mounter , there are now nine , with the distinct theory of more to total if any of the hardwood cuttings I have root successfully . All are pruned back , and there are signs of young bud - shift on all of them . This is very exciting ! I am looking forward to a rosy 2018 , although I still have to find a planting spot for four of them .
2 . Vermiculite sack – I get through a flock of vermiculite . It ’s very expensive to buy in minuscule 5L or 10L suitcase in the garden center . I order one 100L carrier bag a year , this one was £ 24 via eBay . I expend for both sowing and for cuttings .
3 . Primula japonica . I mentioned these a couple of workweek back , they had all died back and looked rather deplorable . At the meter I wondered if they had just drop dead . I clear away the all in foliage and I see sign of life . Jolly sound . I have too many , I will have to get rid of some . Er , I think , give lovingly to others .

4 . More veg cum . I was looking for some more chilli seed , and found a supplier I had n’t come across before , Premier Seeds Direct . They betray all their seeded player in basic transparency promotional material and do n’t produce a seed catalog , keeping their costs humiliated . They seem to trade in decent amount for an exceedingly reasonable 99p a clique , typically . I bring forth an extra discount for ordering over 10 packs , so they came in at 79p a large number including postage . More you spend , more you save ! Very good value , now we just have to see how they turn out . What do you mean , I did n’t need any more seed ? Nonsense , clearly gimcrackery . La la la not listening .
5 . onion again – my ‘ Electric ’ sets are looking gracious and perky , most are burgeon forth sky-high .
6 . Honeysuckle . I finally got around to institute this out against the fence on the long sunny border . It is raring to go . It is still small , so I ’m not expecting a lot of heyday this year , but hopefully it will handle some fence .

That ’s my Six for this week , what are yours ? If you are study joining in , just publish your post and add a comment below take a link to your Wiley Post , and peradventure supply a link back to this web access yours . Simple !
